KVAL's TABOOH Food Drive 2023

There is no doubt that the rising cost of food and housing is again worsening food insecurity in Oregon and here in Douglas County. Since March, our numbers have soared. Across the Network of agencies that we partner with, there has been a 48% increase compared to the same quarter last year! The safety net our emergency food network provides is critical to keeping folks fed, and healthy, and provides an important offset to already stretched household budgets. No one should have to choose between paying rent and keeping their families fed.

KVAL's crew will be in Roseburg next week on November 14th at the Bi-Mart on Garden Valley Boulevard.

So come by, say hi, and bring your donations to help feed the people in our community!

If you want to shop in advance, food banks tell us some of the most needed items include:

• Canned tuna and chicken
• Chili, stew, soups, and canned meals
• Peanut butter
• Nuts and dried fruits
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Cereal, oatmeal, protein bars
